if you are feeling sad look at the blessings that you have been given. Find a reason to always keep moving. Never give up and you will persevere.
Remember
Everyday we need to get reminded
In this journey of our lives
That life is short
What can we do in our time on earth?
Should we be carrying an anger within?
We can choose to be forgiving
Or should we just have to chill out and enjoy the ride
You are given the gift- called life
Are we giving thanks to our creator that we have another day to live?
Our attitude inside and outside
Is exhibited outwardly as we interact with others
Having good feelings within or oneself
Or less judgmental of ourselves
Or not judging at all
If we first kind to ourselves
Most likely, we are kind to others
It begins within
Never underestimate the power of our thoughts
Our thoughts can come out as words or actions
Feeding our minds of words of wisdom, help us enjoy life
Finding happiness in all we do
Encouraging and inspiring others
Our journey will be less disdaining
But worth taking and triumphant.
Reflection April 2020
As we face this pandemic COVID 19, the journey is much challenging. We are put in a high stress moment. But we are resilient. The question is how we respond to these changes in our daily lifestyle? It is changed significantly of our routine. Many of us lost our jobs or maybe working partially or furlough. But we are all together of this medical war. What can we do to cope this situation? I believe this is the time to reflect that all these changes will pass. While on the process how can we continue living in such a manner that we come out victorious and triumphant.
Reflecting and appreciating what we have would probably help. We are given the time to spend more time with our children at home. Enjoying the moment of our family.
Checking within if, we have been giving thankfulness or gratitude to do the people that are working tirelessly in the front line of healthcare such as nurses, doctors, EMS, respiratory therapists, people that work in the labs, scientists who work round the clock to find medicine or vaccine, and our government who are giving means to help in giving support to get through this fight.
Have we given appreciation to the people that pick up our trash or recycle papers? The policemen or women that keep our place in order. The environmental people that keep the hospital and community clean.
Have we given appreciation to the pastors, or priests and deacons who give us spiritual support any way they can? How do we treat our neighbor while we are waiting in line to get to grocery stores? Should we act out of anger or should we show kindness and patience? Sometimes we are overpowered by our own problems that we forget to show love to our neighbors. Maybe this is the time to count the many blessings we have so that we too can be a blessing to others.
This is the time that our words should be of encouraging, NOT of discouraging. We should be of reaching out and helping others. Being more optimistic attitude or behavior in our daily routines would help get us through this situation.
Above all we should NOT forget to ask God’s help in intervening this dilemma. He is so powerful that He can reverse this pandemic effect. His mercy, graces and blessings are upon us.

Thought of the day: Be the one to encourage
One day, a lady came walking toward me with her rollator. She was crying and so I asked her, what was wrong? She said that she was tired of being in pain and difficulty with walking as she had a foot drop. So I offered her a box of kleenex. Then I shared to her that when I went to church to attend the mass, the song during communion was a very nice one. It was uplifting to the spirit. I told her to use you tube and listen to the song. In your daily activities you never know who you encounter. Learn to listen to people such as your friends or family that need your listening heart. By listening alone you have given them help. You can be encouraging them to think more positive in every circumstances that life brings and be more thankful rather than focusing of the problem. When we keep our center in the Lord, we can overcome the impossible as God makes it possible.
Always keep in mind to be the first to give the encouraging words.
